Lachlan is a cultural development practitioner with 20 years of experience delivering community arts programs, festivals, and public artinstallations across Victoria.

His award-winning work as co-producer and artistic director of Sanctum Studio (sanctumstudio.au) has been described as, ‘forg[ing] a dark and surreal dystopia, packed with visual surprises,’ (The Age). His live performances have been staged at festivals around Australia (White Night, Melbourne International Festival of Puppetry) and his short films have been screened at festivals around the world (Melbourne International Animation Festival, St Kilda Film Festival, Revelation Perth International Film Festival, Imagina Anifest NY, Lebanese Independant Film Festival, Melbourne Underground Film Festival, Nocturna Online Brooklyn Film Festival and A Night of Misfit Films US).

In 2012 he won the Impress Prize for The Lost Journals of Pedro Piscator and other tales. His short stories have appeared in publications such as Island Magazine, Going Down Swinging, Journal de Folie, Varnish, Page Seventeen, VIVID and Foxing the Wind. (books + stories) He is responsible for various street art murals around Melbourne, including the 300m2 Life on Planet Daisyworldin Fitzroy (2014). He works for the anarchic giant puppet company, Snuff Puppets, as a PPP show director, workshop facilitator, performer and builder, touring with them through Australia, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Portugal, South Korea, Thailand, Brazil and Chile (snuffpuppets.com).

He lives on the unceded lands of the Wurundjerri and believes a sincere and heartfelt process of makarrata is both possible and necessary to heal the scars of this country.
